It all began with an epiphany, a sense of urgency, a need to say something, a VISION. The music I intend make is what I call, "Audible emotion", Music that moves you that you can identify with. I'm hoping to connect with the listener on some visceral level. It's a lofty ambition, which still has not been attained but I'm on my way. All commercial music is pop, and it's derivative of a genre(s), so I'm not a genre snob, so there'll be mainly soul, jazz, R&B and some folk, rock, gospel, house, dance influences. Over the last 7 years I've written a catalogue of 40+ songs but at present the Audible emotion project consists of 10 songs.

When inspiration strikes or anything good or bad happens and I get some time to myself, I always have to scribble "song seeds", catchy hooks or ideas, it's an subconscious habit.
Situations that engage my mind on an emotional or intellectual level require catharsis and will somehow make their way into a song.

Topics include socio-philosophical issues, female empowerment or covert references to politics or anything we may observe in society or the world around us.

This is the case in songs like "Tell me Why", "To be a Woman" and "Justice", which are slower, more introspective songs, but life traverses a broad and varied kaleidoscope.

So at the other end of the spectrum, it's important to also sing about the lighter side of life: having a fabulous time at a party such as in "Raise the Roof" or "Like this" or a romantic situation, being wary of negative people , "Hidden Agenda" or a general need to stand up for yourself and your individuality "Different".

The different moods are representative of the multi-faceted nature of human condition, With time there may be some refinement, narrowing down of genres/styles but for now it's all about exploration.

Special thanks go out to Michael Koch at Studio 45 and Paul Miles at Select Studios who worked hard on the instrumentals and spent hours in the studio building up and recording the music with me. The music was recorded for demo purposes not for commercial consumption (at least not this second, many miles to go), but happy to present you some snippets of our work for you to listen to, knowing that it's a step forward.
